So, for all of you who are avid pushbike explorers and might actually be interested in an explorative bike ride this weekend, I shall be heading out to explore the simple bike tracks around Olympic Park this Saturday from about 10am.
The plan is simple… Pack a picnic lunch… Head out from home at about 10am… ride down to Olympic Park… explore the bike tracks around there, stop for lunch somewhere niceish. then continue exploring til around 2ish before heading home. The exploration may actually wander out of the parklands and follow along the river. I may even play with my new toy, and track my progress and provide a Google Earth file for those that like playing with Google Earth.
Want to join me? Then contact me before Friday night, as Saturday morning I’ll probably be sleeping in till around 9:30am. ;) Or meet me at North Strathfield Station at 10:30am, with everything you’ll need for a leisurely ride for a few hours.
Yes, I realise that the weather outlook isn’t meant to be too good for Saturday, however being exceptionally unfit, I find the cooler/wet weather is nice to actually ride in.
What’s the new toy?
Sounds lovely. Pity I can’t ride a bike. :)
A Bluetooth GPS Receiver… Just a cheapyBut hopefully it will allow me to track my progress on Saturday.
That is a shame. :( Would have been nice to have all 4 of you along. :) Though considering who else is possibly coming it probably would not have been wise.
