Am I money hungry and looking to make a profit? Well yeah kinda… But for 10Gold per year for your very own slice of lochac.net, can you really say that I am trying to squeeze you for all the money I can get? So what does your $10 get you? It gets you a yourname@lochac.net email address which is based on Gmail, complete with 2GB, yes, that;s right… 2 GB of storage data… That’s enough storage space to keep a search-able record of the Shambles easily accessible for 4-5 years… keep all of your SCA mailing lists in the one place with Gmail’s wonderful all in search-able technology. The email Administration fee is enough to support Lochac.net financially and help it develop, it’s a way of showing your support, and getting something in return.
So is there a future for the Lochac Network? Will it grow and thrive and expand into a wonderful community of caring and active participants? I hope so… The future holds many new and exciting things, all based on what people hope to do with it. Do you have an idea? Would you like to take advantage of our wonderful deal? Would you like to propose a project or community for our exciting domain? The Lochac Network is new… exciting… and currently still in development… Your input is valued, and your participation desired. :) Email accounts are just the first product on offer, the future will also have webspace available to merchants as well as groups and persona.
Lochac Network isn’t a replacement for sca.org.au, it’s more for individuals and households than for official groups. It’s an unofficial web environment for individuals to keep in touch with others and provide their own online presence. If you are loking for a space to host a persona profile, or create a household website, then this is the place for you.

Woohoo!!! We have a programmer!!! Xfire you are a most welcome member to the Technical team. ;) Have any idea’s that you would like to implement? At the moment I am thinking of a very basic website that just brings together other well formed online utilities. First thing I shall be implementing is a Forum with mailing list capabilities.
Still looking for a Graphic design wiz though… I want this site to not only oooze a professional looking beautifully smooth website, but I want it to blend the medieval theme with technology and capture peoples imaginations.
I have an idea of what I would like, I just need a graphic designer to help me realise that dream. :)
Hehehehe Yes, well, it’s a start… and there are reasons for doing it too… Remember that other project I was talking about a few days ago? ;) Yeah, ties in nicely with that, giving it a place to reside…
And I’m not trying to bleed people of their money… just encourage them to support something financially with a small contribution to being able to expand things. ;) When hosting space becomes available, people will be able to have a personal/group page such as http://lurextoga.lochac.net or something similar, also for a small administration fee per year.
Should be a fun little project to help people expand onto the web, and help them to support their fellow members and stuff. :)
I don’t mind the idea of the persona page. You could run it in a collaborative way perhaps (forums / bloggy things), and people might be able to help others develop personas. That’s just me being selfish and lazy because I have nought but a name.
