Winter Tourney / Borgia Poisoner’s Feast

Sick of the cold? Join us for an afternoon in the Park, followed by a warming Tavern Style winter warming feast of Stew – but watch your back!

Lucrezia Borgia is giving a feast in honor of her father, the Pope, but beware, there is poison in the air. Caution is your only hope. Come to the feast and see who will be the last noble standing in this game of trust and betrayal. For those that wish to come and just watch the spectacle, items will be provided to ensure your safety. There will be a cap of 45 tickets sold, as the Pope is in his elder years and large crowds leave him ill.

Border War XI.

.

I’m really looking forward to Border War XI, this will be my 3rd Border War in a row, and whilst it’s not a big war it’s ful of wonderful people and is loads of fun to attend.

My first border war was when I was still fighting, and I got to experience my first Combat Archery Tournament which was done on the cricket pitch in the middle of the oval.  It was great and i have been hoping to see more of it, but have always been elsewhere when it has been hosted.  Border war does remind me each year about how slack a consort I am, as apart from Festival it is usually the only time I get to catch up with Lady Elizabeth De Bohan, someone who whilst attempting to inspire me to fight, really just inspires me to peace, tranquility and friendship. ;)

My first Border War was where I was also introduced to that wicked stuff call Bearbait, which not only baits the bear, but brings it chrashing down in a heap of hangover induced inactivity.

This year i don’t have a 9-10 hour trip to get down there, so I’m really looking forward to it.  Are you?
