Here be the stuff I write about pewter casting…

Not the journal, but the real stuff… the findings, the research and well, the theories. All condensed from the organic blog style stuff I have written over the years.

Pewter casting is an amazingly simple hobby to get into, as realistically the tools you require to get started are common and most can be found around the house.  Whilst soapstone is the medium of choice for casting large numbers of tokens and buttons, I’m a firm believer in the theory that other materials were used that are more common and less likely to survive the ravages of age.  There have been finds of casting moulds being made from slate, chalk, clay and even marble however I also believe that wood was used to create some of the larger pieces.

I haven’t experimented with pewter for a long time now, however over the next few months I do plan to collate all of the articles I have previously written into an easily manageable Pewter Craft section here for all of you to access.

Documents

Soon to have PDF Documents that I have written. So far I have really only written one, however the collating of this collection of blog posts may encourage more to be written.

Links

Soon to have links to good sites worth looking at.

Books

Soon to have a list of books with ISBN’s and possibly links to Amazon searches.

Still a work in progress!  Yes…  even still…  But at least now it has changed a little. ;)
